Our Transitional Program focuses on a broad range of independent living skills to help clients grow towards their personal goals associated with independent living.
In a fun, safe and encouraging environment, clients can expect to make friends, get involved in client inspired group activities, find multiple opportunities to safely expand their comfort zone, receive peer support and encouragement and gain knowledge to support their independence.
Here are some of the training opportunities that clients should experience:
Providing inclusion and accessibility for those that have temporary constraints that limit their ability to be in person. This program comprises mostly virtual meetings starting at 9:30 AM and continuing throughout the day. Clients are able to join and stay connected to their peers, staff, and training via any mobile device or computer. This has been extremely beneficial to those that may have extended travel, hospital stays, illnesses, compromised immune systems, crises, and natural disasters. The Virtual Program is not intended to be a primary option for attending the program. Instead, this is meant as a way to continue to provide services and inclusion for any and all with extenuating circumstances. A true and consistent approach to providing person-centered human service delivery.
In addition to these skills, TCDI clients are encouraged to participate in our volunteer opportunities to help start building a foundation for a long term goal of independent employment.
