President and CEO
We are all in this together. So many people shy away, cross the street, close their doors, try to bury their heads in the sand, but we are all human beings. We come in different shapes, sizes, and colors. Our minds all work and think in different ways; some better and faster than others. But we are all the same underneath it all. Our philosophy is, “Integration Plus Employment Yields Independence”. I believe we all just want to be free and able to make our lives as happy and fulfilling as possible.”
Executive Director
It is truly my belief that each and every person deserves opportunities in life to achieve their goals. Some of us may need a bit more assistance than others, and that is why we do what we do…to ensure that all of us are given the chance to excel and reach our full potential.
Principal and Board Member
“Growing up, I was immersed in the field of special education and social services. It wasn’t until adulthood that I realized how rare a trait my mindset of inclusion and normalcy of disabilities is. I was continuously pulled in the direction of implanting change by supporting the disabled population. Innovative thinking and one conversation at a time have opened opportunities to progress forward in supporting an inclusive society. The opportunity to build VCDI with others sharing a like mindset has been rewarding, however, the impact the journey has had on the population we support is priceless. Transition and inclusion are the present and the future.

Director of Advocacy and Interests
Assist consumers with learning ways to advocate for their needs appropriately. We explore together what their interests are and how they can help find meaningful work. I have worked with this population for many years and have been faced with many behavior challenges. I’ve learned not to focus too much on a consumer’s diagnosis, but instead to focus on the individual. They deserve our respect. I feel it is important to relate to the consumer’s reality…whatever that may be. Instead of attempting to force them to adjust to ours.
Director of Vocational and Relationship Development
“My job duties are to develop employment opportunities in the community for our consumers. I will assist with resumes, applications, and interview skills. When consumers receive employment, I will help with the orientation process and give on-site job coaching to help the consumer be successful. There are many great and rewarding aspects to my job, but in the end, my favorite part is to see the growth, confidence, and the smile as the individual gains independent employment. “There is no greater disability in society than the inability to see a person as more.” - Robert M.
