With over 150 years of combined service with the developmentally disabled adult population in our management team alone, the depth of our experience and knowledge puts us at the forefront of our field. Our philosophies and understanding inform how we assist our participants in creating goals, attaining skills, gaining employment, and achieving independence.
Employment brings independence. Vocational preparation and placement are the focus of our curriculum. Our ultimate goal is to see every willing individual secure a position of independent employment. We then continue our partnership by helping the individual maintain and grow in that position.
Transitioning from a special education program or a center-based facility for adults to an integrative, community-focused curriculum is sometimes difficult. A careful but consistent focus on learning to identify and utilize natural supports in and gain access to the local community helps our clients pursue independence confidently and positively.
Providing inclusion and accessibility for those that have temporary constraints that limit their ability to be in person. This program comprises mostly Zoom meetings starting at 8:30 AM and continuing throughout the day. Clients are able to join and stay connected to their peers, staff, and training via any mobile device or computer. This has been extremely beneficial to those that may have extended travel, hospital stays, illnesses, compromised immune systems, crises, and natural disasters. The Virtual Program is not intended to be a primary option for attending the program. Instead, this is meant as a way to continue to provide services and inclusion for any and all with extenuating circumstances. A true and consistent approach to providing person-centered human service delivery.
A daily video to kick off each day with some fun, energy, education and entertainment. You never know what may happen or who might be joining in on the fun.
Our advocacy channel where we tackle current and relevant issues facing folks living with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
